We are looking for a Quality Manager, Polyol North America to join our Performance Materials team in Geismar, LA.

As a Quality Manager, Polyol, you create chemistry by...

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards while ensuring all manufacturing processes comply with company quality standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Overseeing the development and execution of quality control plans, managing and mentoring the quality assurance team, including quality inspectors and technicians, and conducting regular performance reviews while providing training and development opportunities.

  • Fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the plant, ensuring compliance with industry regulations (e.g., ISO, IATF) and company policies, while maintaining accurate and up-to-date quality documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality manuals, and inspection reports.

  • Leading internal and external audits and inspections, addressing any non-compliance issues, analyzing quality data to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement, and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.

  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives, participating in lean manufacturing or Six Sigma projects, and addressing customer quality complaints while coordinating with production and engineering teams to resolve issues.

  • Collaborating with suppliers to ensure that raw materials and components meet quality standards, developing and managing quality metrics for supplier performance, and driving improvement actions as needed.

  • Overseeing product testing, validation, and inspection processes to ensure products meet specifications, reviewing and approving test results and inspection reports, and preparing and presenting quality reports and performance metrics to plant management and other stakeholders.

  • Utilizing data analysis tools to track quality performance and make data-driven decisions.

If you...

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. Master’s degree in Engineering or Quality Management (preferred).

  • Hold a minimum of 7 years of experience in quality management within the chemical industry, specifically with polyols.

  • Have proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

  • Possess strong knowledge of quality assurance principles, methodologies, and tools as well as excellent problem-solving, analytical skills and effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Are able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Have a Certification in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001) this would be preferred.

  • Are experienced in statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments (DOE) this would be a plus.
