We are looking for a Digitalization and Automation Engineer to join our Performance Chemicals team in McIntosh.

As a Digitization and Automation Specialist and a member of the Global Manufacturing Support team, you will be responsible for overseeing the control systems (DCS, PLC, SIS, etc.) at our McIntosh, AL facility. Additionally, you will drive digitalization initiatives within Performance Chemicals North America.

As a Digitalization and Automation Engineer, you create chemistry by...

• Leveraging your education in Electrical or Chemical Engineering and experience in specialty chemical automation to provide expert support for the control systems across the plant.

• Demonstrating broad-based, hands-on knowledge and experience with various types of DCS and PLC equipment and software (Emerson Delta V DCS, Nova tech D/3 DCS, Allen-Bradley, and Modicon PLCs).

• Performing advanced control and graphic configuration on systems across the plant, and coordinating with operations to implement process improvements, troubleshooting, and periodic health checks of installed base control systems.

• Providing technical expertise for other systems and communications protocols used onsite, such as OSI PI data collection, networking, and I/O, while understanding plant-specific requirements and control systems.

• Developing and implementing a digitalization strategy for McIntosh, partnering with the Puebla, MX, and other sites to share best practices, information, and knowledge.

• Partnering with global digitalization as a subject matter expert and role model to identify, procure, and adopt tools for digitalization and supporting infrastructure.

If you...

• Have a bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering.

• Possess at least 9 years of experience in programming and supporting process control systems.

• Have hands-on knowledge and experience with Emerson Delta V DCS and Nova tech D/3 DCS.

• Possess hands-on knowledge and experience with dashboarding using tools such as PowerBI.
