We are looking for a Maintenance and Facilities Supervisor to join our Agricultural Solutions team based in St. Louis, MO.

As a Maintenance and Facilities Supervisor, you will organize, schedule, and supervise the maintenance staff at our St. Louis, MO, and Fenton, MO, facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for maximizing the safe and reliable operation of plant equipment and facilities in the most efficient way possible.

As a Maintenance and Facilities Supervisor, you create chemistry by...

  • Leveraging your education and professional experience in a maintenance role in the chemical industry, you will provide technical assistance to maintenance technicians and third-party contractors while ensuring compliance with PSM requirements and BASF mechanical integrity using the MOC process and participation in PHAs.

  • Your strong commitment to workplace safety will be a valued asset as you maintain operating equipment in a safe manner while ensuring that maintenance activities are carried out in the safest way possible.

  • By setting clear goals and vision for the maintenance team, you will supervise the daily activities of four maintenance mechanics.

  • As a role model, you will train and develop maintenance personnel to continue improving their skills and knowledge.

  • Utilizing your proficiency in maintenance transactions in SAP, you will maintain accurate information in SAP related to maintenance activities and equipment information.

  • Successfully collaborating within the department, you will coordinate with the production department to ensure that equipment is available for service, along with the required parts.

  • Your solid mechanical, planning, scheduling, and coordination skills will be vital as you ensure preventative and predictive maintenance is carried out as scheduled and investigate methods to improve equipment reliability.

  • Leveraging your knowledge, you will be responsible for site structures, utilities, and security.

If you...

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent (associate's or bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering, or related field preferred).

  • Have five years minimum experience in manufacturing/machine tool maintenance and repair.

  • Have proven experience in facility maintenance, equipment repair, or a similar field.

  • Have strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

  • Can troubleshoot and resolve complex maintenance issues.

  • Are familiar with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines (preferred).

  • Have supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance role (preferred).

  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Can work independently and in a team environment.
