During your shift as a Logistics Supervisor (White Stone, SC), you will...

  • Collaborate with Logistics Manager and coordinators to prioritize departmental needs and lead shift personnel to safely perform operations.Develop and communicate daily activity plans for respective shifts,providing technical guidance and information as to thereceiving, packaging, andshipping operations.

  • Manage team of Material Handlers; including periodic and annual performance reviews, disciplinary action as needed, housekeeping inspections, safety inspections, job audits and reviews, safety talks, shift handoffs, and fill-in on shift as needed.

  • Ensure that all activities comply with Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) regulations and all incidents are reported when required. Actively participate in EHS initiatives, including but not limited to Permit Writing, Incident Investigations, Management Of Change, ACES, HAZMAT, Incident Commander, First Aid Response, Safety Contacts, and Housekeeping.

  • Lead technicians in daily shift discussions to review safety messages, communicate work assignments, review shipping status & priorities.

  • Utilize SAP for inventory control and departmental operations and to submit maintenance work notifications.

  • Ensure departmental procedures are current and accurate and that all direct reports have completed all necessary training and possess qualifications to perform the work assigned.

  • Serve as daily point of contact for on-site 3rd party Logistics contractor

If you...

  • Hold a minimum requirement of a High School diploma, or equivalent, and 3+ years Logistics experience.

  • Are able to work 12-hour rotating day shifts (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM) and any necessary overtime.

  • Have the ability to work outside in various weather conditions and perform physical activities like bending, stooping, lifting up to 50lbs. on occasion, climbing ladders, and working at various heights.

  • Possess a safety conscious mindset when working with and around chemicals and material handling equipment, show initiative, have excellent attention to detail, be results oriented and customer focused, possess good communication skills, and possess the ability to work in a team environment.

  • Exhibit the ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks and be self-motivated.

  • Have strong troubleshooting skills, familiarity with packaging and material handling equipment, strong and effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to train others.

  • Possess experience in process hazard analysis, MOC, root cause analysis, and AIMS investigation.

  • Are proficient with a computer, including Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.

Pay transparency

BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive pay range for this role is $42 - $46. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
